About Litterati
The Watershed Protection Division is using Litterati to engage County residents who want to help reduce trash in our waterways. Litterati is a mobile application that was created to eliminate litter in our communities while collecting valuable, crowd-sourced data such as amount of litter picked up, types of litter, and where the litter was found. Litterati is simple to use and is great for schools, clubs, friends, and families that want to have a fun competition while making a significant and measurable impact on the environment.
How to participate
Join a litter cleanup challenge in your area – The Litterati app allows you to join a litter cleanup challenge in your area. A Litterati challenge allows users to work together towards a common goal, while also having a friendly competition of who can pick up the most litter in a specified timeframe. You can check the app regularly to find new challenges to join. Challenges can be competition or cooperation-based, but the main goal is to clean up litter for a healthier and safer environment.
Create your own Litterati challenge – Do you have a group of people who want to participate in a challenge together? The Watershed Protection Division can set up a challenge just for your group. To get started, please provide your contact information below and a member of our team will reach out to you with next steps.
